DuPage Programs and Services

provides additional support to children and in the Early Learning Program as well as children in the community from birth to five that have social-emotional needs. Assessment, counseling, case management, consultation and collaboration are provided to
children and their caregivers by social workers and counselors that specialize in working with infants and young children. Parent, staff and community trainings and workshops are also provided.

Brings together school districts, community agencies, early childhood providers and supporters to improve school readiness for children in under-resourced areas of Wheaton, Warrenville and Addison.

Serve pregnant women, children 0-5 years of age, and their families to ensure school readiness for our youngest residents and empower families to improve their children’s future. Home-based, half day and full-day services are available.

Provides home-based intervention to families formed through adoption or subsidized guardianship. Counseling, crisis intervention and 24-hour on-call assistance help address adjustment, grief/loss resolution, attachment, educational and emotional issues. This DCFS-supported program also provides therapeutic respite services, psycho-educational and support groups, workshops and help securing resources.

offers team-based, recovery-focused individual, family, and group therapy services, case management, crisis intervention, community support, and psychiatry. MFS Behavioral Health services promote psychological, social, and emotional development that helps to achieve and maintain recovery. MFS offers Behavioral Health programs to children, adolescents, and adults.

groups give children of aging parents, spouses and long-distance caregivers an opportunity to share caregiving concerns, learn to balance their needs with those of their loved ones, manage stress, feel supported by others who share their journey, and get helpful tips and resources. Individual counseling and case management services are also provided to support caregivers.

Mobilizes support services for older caregivers who are raising children, including clinical observance, assessment, referrals, support and educational groups, and for both grandparents and grandchildren, if needed, family and individual counseling.

Provides short-term, clinically intensive therapeutic interventions to youth in care who struggle with emotional and behavioral issues. Services are provided based on trauma symptoms, emotional/behavioral concerns and risk behaviors.

Helps physically, emotionally and/or economically vulnerable older adults function as independently as possible. It includes in-home or office assessments, family and individual counseling, support groups, case management and links to resources.

provide person-centered substance use treatment services for teens and adults that focus on the unique recovery experiences of each person and family served. Our clinical teams are trained in treating substance use disorders and grounded in harm-reduction principles. We prioritize safety and meet people where they are, offering support without judgment. Services begin with a thoughtful assessment and collaborative treatment planning. We encourage our participants to engage in group therapy, one-on-one counseling, and build strong support networks to assist in the treatment process.

A community partnership involving Metropolitan DuPage (MFSD), Catholic Charities and YWCA that provides program participants with permanent housing and long-term stability through case management and employment services. MFSD offers mental health services, home-based therapy and psychiatric services to program participants to support families transitioning from homelessness.

is a collaboration mobilizing West Chicago schools and community to address the health, safety and well-being of students and families. MFSD provides individual and family counseling, case management, consultation and crisis management services to students in West Chicago school districts 33 and 94. Services are provided in the school setting as well as at home and in the community.

offers free, confidential support to adults and children affected by domestic abuse. Recognizing that each situation is unique, FSS of MFSD provides a wide range of programming, including emergency shelter, court services and orders of protection, supportive services for children and adults, 40 hr. domestic violence training, and community-based & prevention services.

Provides legal assistance and community education to low-income individuals in the areas of domestic violence, immigration, human trafficking, employment and other legal topics.
